This was my first hostel experience and I was absolutely impressed with the service. It’s clear to see that everything is well thought out and nicely kept.

Maybe a wider selection of breakfast options would be nice.

What was the highlight of Next Taipei Hostel - Main Station

Good.

Great location. Close to Taipei station and walking distance to Ximen area. Many shops and restaurants around the hostel. Clean. Free to use washing machine and dryer (Bring/buy the laundry detergent).

Breakfast was decent, not like some other people said. Some roommates were snoring, so you might want to bring your ear plugs (and eye mask) to get good sleep.

Location is amazing, hostel is situated in downtown Taipei...

Location is amazing, hostel is situated in downtown Taipei and very close to the metro station. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The reception was open 24/7 which was very convenient. Overall a good experience.

Even though there were many breakfast options available, which was a positive surprise, I didn't necessarily enjoy any of the ones I tried.

The Breakfast was included and superb, the hostel very clean...

The Breakfast was included and superb, the hostel very clean, new and comfortable. The location is quite near the station, but not the best spot in Taipei. However, I really recommend going as the metro is close and well connected.

The air conditioning was too high for the winter season. Nothing else to say. All perfect for the rest! I really recommend this place!

It is clean.

It is not a hostel. It is a hotel where in the first floor are bedrooms and shared toiled. Staff was correct, but lacked the qualities of a good hostel (not welcoming, without info or tips for backpackers like what free walking tours are in the city). The bed above me was very squacky and I could listen every movement.

Nothing.

Everything except the staff. Hard to find. I guess its a hostel made by a hotel using left over space (for this branch). Every area is not convinient, especially the aircon which made me cant sleep all night, sounds like construction beside your beds Everything in the bedrooms make noise: the locker, the beds tray, the customers going out and in from 10pm to 5am. The bathroom is just just ok. Means can be used, while not convinient. I like the water pressure, else nah.

Within the city.

Within the city. Clean rooms. Roomy.

*I didn’t have my room upon checked in due to the staff’s mistake and it was even guaranteed through our emails. They have not offered any other options until i demanded for a place to stay when i checked in early morning. *Someone stole my phone adapter while charging to an outlet in living area and no one has resolve this issue when I brought it up to the front desk.

Dirty and too dark!

Inclusive breakfast and cupboard area in dorm bed

Cleansiness was awful, overly noisy (I could hear traffic and the bathroom), I woke up with weird bumps on my body! The facilities were not good- the bathrooms too wet and too dark. I would much rather spending at least 1000 more to get a private room at another hotel!!
